LRT Smart is our new product generation, and you can see a quick intro below. If you have a "Superhero plan", then all LRT Classic Tools are still available and in heavy use by loyal long term customers.

Superhero plans have access to the LRT Smart UI as well as all 25 LRT Classic tools.

So even if you are working LRT Smart, you can always access the classic tools by switching back to the "Classic" view 1 or by using the Tool Launcher 2 if you have a Superhero account.

You can even have Classic LRT Tools like, say LJR run in the background and continue work in LRT Smart

Some users dearly miss the old table control of LRT Classic, and we hear you. We are actively working on using a different table control for LRT Smart.

Meanwhile, we built something that was missing in LRT Classic, too - a quick search.

While the complex filters allow you to create all sorts of fancy filters, this is simple.

It's one search box, searching on the most popular elements like the source and target URL, the anchor text, or combinations of those.

We had the Quick Backlink Checker in LRT Smart for a while.

You can access QBL via the Tool switcher (see above) or the Quick Backlink Checker icon.

Long term users may prefer the classic context menu to start QBL, where you can also pick the analysis scope for your sample backlink report in QBL.

• Sample backlinks for the page URL
• Sample backlinks for the subdomain
• Sample backlinks for the root domain

QBL Smart example

A few seconds later, you have a quick backlink analysis on a sample of the backlinks from a static link data source - so not recrawled, as we usually do.

For a quick check, that's sufficient for getting a brief idea about a domain you've never seen before.

This screen shows an example QBL Smart view, giving you.

• Top Source Pages with their LRT Page Power*Trust
• Top Linking Anchor Texts
• Backlink Profile Coverage of the analysis (usually microscopic for QBL)

Remember - you are looking at a small sample of the backlink profile in the Quick Backlink Checker (QBL).

Starting a complete analysis is strongly recommended once you have gotten a first idea of what's going on with that Backlink profile.

Link Detox Risk Live is the new fast and almost real-time estimation of link quality and the potential risk a link will get you.

The idea here is simple - why build links that cause trouble, ranking declines, and penalties afterward?

What are the PDF Reports in LRT?

LRT now has an all-new and shiny PDF report feature that many people have been waiting for, for a long time.

With one click you can create a PDF snapshot of everything you see for the current Project in LRT Smart, and more.

So some report elements are currently only visible in the PDF or the Project Email Notifications.

The new shiny PDF reports are available now in all plans from Superhero Standard and up. Users on Legacy plans and Link Detox plans need to upgrade to use new reports.

How to use the LRT PDF Reports

1. Activate it in the "Export" dropdown
2. Store the resulting file in a location on your desktop
3. Learn how to read and interpret the LRT PDF Reports

You can build healthy and robust links only using the Link Building Simulator of LRT Smart. This a technology we offer since 2014, now in a new look and with more features.

You now can use a simple button to start

Are you wondering how much those extra link data sources contribute to your LRT projects?

This new report shows you overlap of data sources and their contribution to the overall result.

As you can see, adding the connection to Google Search Console is by far the most promising thing to do if you want to improve the backlink profile coverage of your reports.

This report is still in beta test with key users and internal review of our team's results.

In the video "Which SEO metrics should we use in link building?" I try to explain the importance of looking at the right metrics for link building or link quality evaluation in general.

A lot of marketers and people in the SEO industry do it wrong.

Many use domain-based metrics like Ahrefs DR or Moz DA, when they want to explain the effect of a link on a page - but that doesn't work like that. You can use domain-based metrics for measuring domains, as the name implies.
