Link Scope
What is Link Scope?
Specific to links between pages, LRT analyzes four link scopes
- internal links from one page of a website to another page of a website
- subdomain links from parts like a separated blog of a company to a website
- network backlinks from related websites of the same company, network of companies or partners and finally
- external links or simply backlinks from random parts of the web to a website.
Link Scope definition
The Link Scope is defined by the scope a link spans - from source to target.
The 4 types of Link Scopes
2 New Scopes: Subdomain Links and Network Links
Reminder: A Link is a Connection from A to B
What is A, what is B?
External Links
- something.donor.com (A) links to www.company.com (B)
- abc.source.net links to blog.company.com
- Google wants to assume "no" influence by SEOs
Network Links
- also called "external links" in the past
- "My Network" links
- www.linkresearchtools.de** links to www.linkresearchtools.com**
- www.linkdetox.com** links to www.linkresearchtools.com**
- Google can assume 0-100% influence by SEOs
Partner Network Links
- "Partner Network" links
- myfriend.com links to www.linkresearchtools.com**
- myotherfriend.com links to www.linkresearchtools.com**
- Google can assume 0-100% influence by SEOs
Link Building "Network Links"
- "Outreach Agency1" links
- "Outreach Agency2" links
- "PBN seller 3" links
- "Affiliate Network" links
- 0 to 100% influence by SEOs?
- Any network is a potential risk... no matter how "safe" you see it.
Subdomain Links
- these were also called "internal links" in the past by many
- blog.linkresearchtools.com links to www.linkresearchtools.com
- academy.linkresearchtools.com links to www.linkresearchtools.com
- 0 to 100% influence by SEOs

- LRT finally supports Internal Link Research
- But not just counters as in other products
- All LRT qualities and features are now available also for internal links
- 100% influence by SEOs
- Internal Links are super-easy to change and to test with
- Often overlooked
